Love is Love. For a Month

Like Mother’s Day, Black History Month, Earth Day, Spanish Heritage Month, etc., Pride month celebrates overcoming more than a horrifying century where non-hetero people were literally hunted, ostracized, murdered, experimented on, raped by heterosexuals, and denied basic human rights. This month is an opportunity for parents and elders to educate themselves by LISTENING to the stories of their family members and friends who had to hide their sexuality for decades because of hate, fear, and ignorance.

Hasn’t there been enough hate in the world? Can’t we learn from past mistakes and allow people to be who they are? Love whom they love?

Love is love.

Be an ally for LGBTQIA+ don’t stand by.
